ICOM IC 9700 OCXO Installation Put the rtx upside down and remove all screws of the bottom black cover to see this view. the best location to fix the OCXO module is locate in the right down corner close to the fan. the module need a power supply from 7 to 12vdc, during the power on it will absorbe about 430mA to worm the cristal inside the metal cover as shown in the above picture when it will reach the optimized temperature the current will drop to 190mA (abt 90sec.) this mean the ocxo reached the stabilizzed frequency to 10mhz output and yo are able to synchronize the 9700 pressing menu, set, function, Ref adjust (synchronizing to REF IN), Sync to REF IN and wait few seconds to to it. Go back pushing undo key.
